Activities
Orienteering,     11/23/2002
November 23, 2002,
a busy day
We knew it was going to be a busy day
but it turned out to be somewhat hectic.
Saturday morning 5 scouts set out for
Forest Park at 8:30 A.M. to participate
in the annual  HVO/LIOC friendship
orienteering event. Not only did they
participate but were able to help the
organizers set up the course. The
scouts volunteered to set up the white
course. Once the event started they
accompanied the troop members
needing the requirement for first class.
Upon completion they then ran the
Green Course for themselves.

A quick stop at Mickey D's and on to
Ralph's house to pick up the scouts
who joined us for swimming. 13
scouts participated in the swimming
session.

7:00 P.M. on to the annual Church
Thanksgiving diner. Two more scouts
joined us. All seemed to have a good
time. The boys decided that we should
show the Long Trip Video instead of a
musical number. Not surprising their
talent continues to remain a mystery to
all.
