| Day 8 - Continued - Pensacola, FL Still plenty of time to get some snorkeling in. After settling in camp, we head out for the Fort and the jetties. Very hot. Visibility in the water is only about 5 feet due to the previous and impending storm. Snorkelers could not find the sunken jeep. They realize they can't dive the 45 plus feet necessary because of the poor visibility. They do find some of the mapped pipes, fish and a scuba team. The park showers nearby are great to wash the salt and sand off the body and gear. |
