| Day 8 - Continued - Pensacola, FL After a full day dinner and laundry make for a long day. We decide to sleep under the tarp rather than set up the tents. Big mistake, the very hot night and bugs make it impossible for anyone to get much sleep. By the middle of the sleepless night a few of us walk to the beach on the gulf side of the island for a cooler spot. The constant breeze also keeps the bugs away. We get some sleep (2-3 hours), view a spectacular sunrise including a rainbow, and are constantly visited by members of the local feathered population. |
