| Day 9 - Travel to Okefenokee ? Well, that was the plan. "Escape From Pensacola" would have been more like it. Two of the adults attend to the trailer while the rest of the troop take advantage of the delay with another dive, this time on the gulf side of the island. Visibility is better but still limited due to the comming storm. However, very refreshing in the very hot and humid weather and a lot of fun. The trailer with a complete set of new leaf springs, overhauled axle, and new wheel bearings is ready by early afternoon. Not enough time to make it to Georgia. We only travel 239 miles, in sporatic storms, and a lunch stop, to a KOA campground east of Tallahassee for a much needed night's rest. |
