| Stroudsburg, PA, Friday 3/7 13th ANNUAL SCOUT WEEKEND Sponsored by Troop 105 and Shawnee Mountain Ski Area. The first class scouts and junior leaders decided to attend, for many their first experience on snowboards. Arrived 9:30 PM, Friday night at Notre Dame High School, Stroudsburg, PA, to register and lodge. Shawnee Mountain, Saturday 3/8 After picking up our rented equipment, we enjoy warm and filling breakfast on the mountain. In the distance the scouts participate in an hour-long snowboard lesson. A distant view of the tubing park. Finally, lessons over, time to get going for real. Great weather, sunny, mid 40s, require taking off a layer. A few warm up runs on the bunny hill and off they go on the beginner trails. |
